About Linda
Linda comes to us after three years in Chico, CA, where she was a morning anchor and reporter at KNVN/KHSL TV. Before that, she produced and reported at competitor, KRCR-TV.
During the past four years, Linda has also worked in production for the Oakland A’s, shooting and editing video as well as creating graphics for their shows.
Linda has a degree in broadcast communication arts from San Francisco State University. While in the Bay area, she was a production assistant and assistant assignment editor at KGO-TV and a one-person band for TV-30 Cable news.
Linda says she was inspired to succeed by a story her great grandmother told about “pasuckaukohowog”, a soccer-like game. She says that Choctaw tale developed her love for the sport and for creative storytelling. As a result, Linda distinguished herself as a skilled soccer star and in 2004, was one of 10 NAJA students to be selected to the student projects program at the Unity Convention in Washington, DC.
Linda is a fraternal triplet who grew up in California. She and her sisters weighed close to 7 pounds each at birth and currently hold a record in Oakland for being the largest born. When she’s not doing news, she tells us she’s out exploring new surroundings, cooking up new vegetarian dishes or playing with her 27 pound cat, Harvey.
